This week, our group attended the Virtual Conference for Theoretical Chemistry 2020, during which Tina received the Graduate Student Award for Outstanding Lightning Talk. Her prized talk is titled "What can the transition structure factor tell us about finite size effects in metals?" and relates to our group’s research on the convergence of coupled cluster to the thermodynamic limit using the transition structure factor in solids. This talk investigates how our analysis of the coupled cluster correlation energy FSE yield a convergence rate of N-1/3 convergence while the expected rate is N-1. We are thrilled for Tina as she is one of just a handful of graduate students to receive this honor.
